    Spooky Season in America’s Finest City

Local theme parks like SeaWorld and Belmont Park get decked out in Halloween decor and offer family-friendly daytime activities.     “Halloween is one of the most popular times to visit San Diego,” said Julie Coker, CEO of the San Diego Tourism Authority. “The entire month of October brings festivals, parades, haunted attractions, and parties that appeal to all ages and interests.”

    According to Coker, over 375,000 people attended Halloween events in San Diego County in 2022. This year, attendance numbers are expected to top 400,000.

    For those who want to party like the undead, San Diego offers some lively Halloween bashes. Here are some of the top adult Halloween parties happening this year:

    Nightmare on Normal Street

    • What: Hillcrest’s annual Halloween street festival and costume contest
    • When: Saturday, October 28 from 5pm-11pm
    • Where: Normal St. and University Ave. in Hillcrest
    • Highlights: Live music, DJs, dancing, costume contest with $2,000 in prizes

    Titanic Masquerade Party
